How To Manage My Apps On Iphone
Do you use your Apple account to sign in to third-party apps, websites, and services using "Sign in with Apple"? If so, you might want to view all the apps that have access to your Apple ID information, and manage them accordingly.
"Sign in with Apple" is a handy privacy and convenience feature that was introduced in more modern iOS and iPadOS releases since version 13. The feature basically allows you to sign up for using an app or service by quickly using your Apple ID, rather than creating a brand new account for each app or service. This is Apple's equivalent of 'Sign in with Google' and 'Sign up with Facebook' and works in a very similar way, albeit with some added functionalities like being able to hide your email address from apps and signups.
Whether you're just curious, or perhaps you lost track of which apps you used the Apple sign-in feature with, you can find out which apps have access to your Apple account details right from your iOS or iPadOS device. Managing those apps which are using your Apple ID on both the iPhone and iPad is what we'll cover here.
How to Manage Which Apps Use Your Apple ID on iPhone & iPad
Before you go ahead with the following procedure, you need to make sure that your iPhone or iPad is running iOS 13/iPadOS 13 or later, since "Sign in with Apple" isn't available on older versions. Once you're done, simply follow the steps below to get started.
- Head over to "Settings" on your iPhone or iPad.
- In the settings menu, tap on your Apple ID name located right at the top.
- Next, tap on "Password & Security" as shown in the screenshot below.
- In the Password & Security section, choose "Apps Using Your Apple ID".
- Now, you'll be able to see all the apps that use your Apple ID for logins. Select any of the apps listed here.
- Here, you can choose to turn off automatic forwarding for emails. To prevent the app from using your Apple ID details for logging in, tap on "Stop Using Apple ID".
- When you're prompted to confirm your action, choose "Stop using" again.
From here you can easily manage the apps that are using your Apple ID.
Once you remove an app from this list, you'll be signed out of the app on your device. You can either choose to "Sign in with Apple" or create a new account the next time you open the app or visit their website. However, when you sign in with your Apple ID, you will be signed in to the same account you previously used.
This section can also be used to view the randomly generated email addresses that were created when you chose to hide your email while signing up for an account in the app. That's one of the best features of the Sign in with Apple capability, since it can help to reduce unsolicited emails and spam sent to your email address.
If you don't have access to an iOS or ipadOS device at the moment, don't worry. You can still manage the apps that are using your Apple ID from a Mac, or any device by simply heading over to appleid.apple.com, so it doesn't really matter if you're currently using an Android smartphone or a Windows PC either.
We hope you were able to update the list of apps that are using your Apple ID for logins. What are your overall thoughts on Sign in with Apple feature? Do you use it or not? Share your experiences, thoughts, tips, or opinions in the comments.
